Madlib ft. MF DOOM, MED & Blu - "Knock Knock"

None

They always hit when you least expect it. After only a few hours warning from Rappcats, DOOM and Madlib have gone and dropped another piece of history. They don’t do it alone, but as always, the Madvillain connect doesn’t disappoint.

Using Madlib’s bubbling concoction of soul samples, effected guitars, and heavy bass as a launchpad, DOOM goes off to start things off. It’s a little hard to keep track of his stream of consciousness, but he touches on everything from Vitamin D to mescaline before handing the beat off to MED and Blu.

“Knock Knock” is off Bad Neighbor, an album of Madlib beats commandeered by longtime collaborator MED and Los Angeles rap legend Blu. The album will also feature Anderson .Paak, Hodgy Beats, and Dam-Funk. It is, in a word, stacked.

You can pre-order and preview the album here and stream “Knock Knock” and a weird, wonderful animated video of DOOM’s verse on the song below. Bad Neighbor drops October 30.
