“Gabriel,” a track that Italian-English singer Valentina made with Joe Goddard many moons ago (in 2011), still gets regular plays around my ends, so it was with great anticipation that I learnt that she was collaborating with one of my favourite British producers, Kwes., on her new Wolves EP. The title track, “Wolves,” didn’t disappoint, and this new one is just as impressive, with a soaring chorus underpinned by a sense of pervading melancholy.
The Wolves EP is out on Greco-Roman on April 18.
