One of the coolest things about the Red Bull Music Academy is the spirit of collaboration that it fosters between artists from different genres and all across the world. Where else would a collaboration like this happen, between a young electronic producer from Canada (Ekali), an established composer and producer from Austria (Dorian Concept), and the Grammy winning producer of Frank Ocean’s channel.ORANGE (Om’Mas Keith)?
The three artists did indeed collaborate at RBMA Tokyo, and their track “On Me” is being released as part of Red Bull’s Various Assets – Not For Sale compilation of music made during RBMA Tokyo (the compilation is out January 21). We’ve got the premiere and download of the awesomely funky, boastful “On Me”—which comes across like some sort of futuristic cousin of a Dam-Funk song—below.
