“Exhale” is like M83‘s biggest moments, fed copious amounts of steroids and sprinkled with glitter and neon paint. It’s a brash, bold, electronic pop stormer that starts with a wall of ominous synths, and just builds and builds from there, quickly exploding like hundreds of fireworks in the crisp night sky. “We start as we mean to go on,” say the band, and if they fulfil that promise, there will be a load more unsubtle, but undeniably catchy synth-pop coming your way soon.
