Since Disclosure released their debut album Settle last year, an album filled with golden-bright crossover pop hits like “Latch,” “Confess To Me,” and “F For U,” the brother’s solo output has been two pretty uncompromising tunes that were definitely not made with a mainstream pop audience in mind.
First, there was “Apollo,” a dank and moody house stomper and today, out of the blue, we are gifted “The Mechanism,” a collaboration with Liverpool producer Friend Within. Starting off with some old-school vocals, the track is quickly flipped into an absolute bass-filled belter which is clearly aimed for full dancefloor destruction.
