IshDARR doesn’t tolerate a second wasted. Today the Milwaukee rapper returns with “Time Shawty,” an ode of sorts to the grind and the sacrifices it requires. His first release of 2016 hints at forthcoming projects currently in the works: the new single channels his music-minded focus, finding him overlooking other obligations to refine his sound.
In this instance, that sound takes the form of trap production with a twist. Producer Millz Douglas’ synths and snares creep along as Ish supplies his trademark energy. It’s an anthem that favors persistence over distraction.
