Yesterday Flume made the announcement that his forthcoming album Skin is “almost finished.” He followed up the good news with a short preview of the album. Soon after the release of this nearly five-minute preview, moods quickly shifted as strong accusations were made against Flume.

A few reddit users pointed out that one of the tracks in the preview sounds similar to an unreleased collaboration between Skrillex and What So Not which has become known as “Beachlife ID.” Flume was in What So Not alongside Emoh before pursuing his own solo career—What So Not is now solely Emoh’s project.

These rumors and accusations gained a bit more weight after George Maple, who has collaborated with What So Not, chimed in to agree. She went on Twitter to call Flume out, saying “Why you stealing What So Not songs on your teaser.” Her tweets have since been deleted, but were captured by EDM Tunes and can bee seen below.

As of now, neither Skrillex, Emoh, or Flume have responded to the accusations.

The original “Beachlife ID” track can be heard in the video below around the 40:50 mark. Listen and compare it to the track that is accused of being stolen at around the 1:34 mark in the SoundCloud preview of Flume’s new album.
