Those familiar with skateboarding tapes are aware that the featured music is usually just as intriguing as the skating. In a new skate film titled “Market,” creator Adam Zhu delivers a nostalgic look at skate life in New York City with some retro-styled visuals and a fitting soundtrack.
The nearly seven-minute clip features music from Dev Hynes, Ratking’s Wiki and Sporting Life, and more. Wiki and Hynes make brief appearances in the film—creating a mini music video for their collaboration “Lord’s Mess” around footage of Shawn Powers and Genesis Evans’ skating.
