Denzel Curry's next album TA13OO is shaping up to be something special. Last week, he delivered a thought-provoking video for one of his most dynamic and catchy songs yet, "Clout Cobain," and now he's back with another single from the project before it rolls out in three parts on July 25, 26, and 27.
Like "Clout Cobain," the collaborative single with GoldLink and Twelve'len "Black Balloons" finds Curry covering the dark reality of being a rapper. "See the vibe very timid, I'm timid and very sad / Translated my thoughts and feelings I pivot into the pad," he raps. Musically, this is one of the most mellow, melodic songs we've heard from Curry for a while—a hint that this project may be his most stylistically diverse yet.
