Get Lost in Daniel Caesar's Mesmerizing NPR 'Tiny Desk Concert'

Check out the Canadian singer's silky set, which included an appearance by HER.

Daniel Caesar's confessional, gospel-tinged soul is perfectly suited for intimate concert spaces, and he's proven already that he can capture that kinetic energy in a studio set. For his latest feat, the "Get You" singer appeared as part of NPR's Tiny Desk series, bringing his six-piece backing band and special guest HER along for the ride.

Caesar's performed his hits "Get You" and "Best Part" from his acclaimed debut album Freudian as well as the 2016 single "Japanese Denim." The stripped down takes allowed Caesar's gorgeous vocals and the ornate piano of Matthew Burnett to claim center stage, though HER's appearance on the final track was a true scene stealer.

Watch Caesar's NPR session above, and check out our video below on how he, 6LACK, and Sonder are blazing a new trail in R&B.
