Back in December GoldLink, Brent Faiyaz, and Shy Glizzy linked up for a DMV connection on their latest collaboration "Crew"—Faiyaz is a Baltimore native, while both GoldLink and Shy Glizzy hail from Washington D.C. The single has a deep groove that is practically impossible to not nod along to. Faiyaz carries the chorus with his suave vocals as GoldLink and Shy Glizzy take turns laying down verses that match the bounce of the record. Today, they return with a video to keep up with the fun vibe of the single.
Ahead of the video's release, GoldLink teased the visuals with a tweet that simply read: "It Started in D.C. in 2006..." Implying that each of their paths to success got the jumpstart it needed a decade ago. For the new video, the trio heads back to where it all began to celebrate with their day one friends. After years of putting in work, they're each getting the recognition they've been looking for. The celebrations continue with some sleek dance moves, stylish coats, and joy rides through the city.
