M.I.A. has been teasing about leaking her forthcoming album A.I.M. for months now. However, yesterday she confirmed that her new album finally has an official release date, September 9. This big news was soon followed up with the album’s first single, “Go Off”—a track featuring production from Skrillex and Blaqstarr.
For her new video, M.I.A. gets rather literal with the term “Go Off.” The pairing visuals show various clips of different landscapes with explosives going off in sync with the track. M.I.A. herself doesn’t make an appearance in the video, instead this video serves as a way to bring more attention to the actual lyrics within the song.
