RZA announced back in 2013 that he was working with Interpol’s frontman Paul Banks on an untitled project, and now that project is finally coming to fruition. Under the name of Banks & Steelz, RZA and Paul Banks’ debut album as a duo is due for release August 26. Anything But Words is set to feature the likes of Ghostface Killah, Florence Welch, Method Man, Masta Killa, and Kool Keith among others.
To coincide with the announcement of the album, the pair have shared the second single from the project, “Giant.” Featuring propulsive production and fiery rapping from RZA, “Giant” is definitely a better blending of sounds that their previous single, “Love + War.” This is far from Banks’ first foray into the hip-hop world, however, and the same goes for RZA and the rock/indie world. Most notably, Paul Banks released a solo mixtape back in 2013 titled Everybody on My Dick Like They Supposed to Be, and it featured guest appearances from the likes of El-P, Talib Kweli, and Odd Future’s Mike G.
