Watch Haim Debut New Music and Cover Prince's "I Would Die 4 U"

The sisters are finally ready to start performing new material.

It’s been three years since Haim released their debut album Days Are Gone, but it appears that the sisters are finally ready to start putting out new music again. Earlier this year, they shared a short teaser which they said, “We’ve just been in the studio for so long … At this point, we just wanna go out there and play the songs live.”

Last night, Haim finally got the chance to do what they’ve been waiting so long to do. During a show at The Observatory in Santa Ana, Haim premiered brand new songs for the lucky crowd. Thanks to some fan footage, the rest of us who weren’t fortunate to be present, are now able to hear a preview of Haim’s new music. The girls performed two brand new tracks from their forthcoming album.

During the Saturday Night Live’s 40 Anniversary after party, Jimmy Fallon was able to convince Prince to hop on stage for an impromptu performance. In the footage of this quick set, Haim can seen standing in as his background singers. More than a year later, the three sisters paid their respects to the late legend by performing a cover of his classic, “I Would Die 4 U.”
