As problems within Young Money’s camp continue, it’s unclear what to expect from the upcoming Rich Gang the Lifestyle 2 project. Its successful predecessor The Tour: Part 1 came together when the label was a unified force (before the beef with Lil Wayne took off) and the follow-up appeared to be on shaky ground. Some doubted whether Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan would be involved at all.
In an interview that lasted a little longer than his very brief appearance on The Breakfast Club this morning, Birdman cleared things up with XXL and said, “Thug is my little bro and I fuck with Quan too. I’m going to always make sure they’re a part of Rich Gang.”
He said his time with them putting together The Tour: Part 1 made him excited about music again after being focused on business for so long. “Working with Thug and Quan really gave me a whole [new] motivation about working on new music because I was more on my CEO shit,” he explained.
It appears Young Thug has his back as well, sharing some words for Charlamagne after the contentious interview this morning. “You make me gonna beat the fuck outta you,” he says through a grin while wagging a finger at the camera.
