Apple has pivoted its ad approach to promote the Siri capabilities of Apple TV, turning to cultural references embedded in cultural references. On set in an actor’s trailer, Game of Thrones Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) practices a kiss with Alison Brie of Community and Mad Men fame.
It’s a mildly comical, somewhat corny exchange, but the best part arrives in the clip’s final moments. Struggling to get the smooch just right, Coster-Waldau enlists the help of Jeremih to set the mood.
Unfortunately, “Oui” fails to save the day and Brie ends up abandoning her would-be costar. Regardless, it’s a good look for the Def Jam singer who felt scored by his label leading up to the release of Late Nights.
