When Cozz swung by our backyard at SXSW last week, he impressed us with a smooth laid back flow over Mike Jones’ “Back Then” instrumental. Today, the recent Dreamville signee released “Let ‘Em Know” which features the same verse he kicked at the Airp&p, but it takes on a whole new feel over a growling beat from Meez. In the Austin sunshine he sounded relaxed and content. On this he sounds hungry, transforming those relaxed verses with a vicious flow. It’s pretty clear he’s anything but complacent following that record deal. Listen below.
