St. Louis rapper Smino ended 2015 with his impressive blkjuptr EP, and he’s already on the right track to following it up with a pretty successful 2016. Smino returns this week with a track simply titled “Update” to keep fans posted on everything that’s going on with him right now.
Smino links up with his partner-in-creation Monte Booker once again to provide the futuristic production featured on “Update.” Booker offers up a beat that feels reminiscent to a computer system of some sort rebooting, or updating, while Smino rhymes about trying to live in the moment. “Update” is short, but sweet like a necessary fix—fitting for its title.
