Last month, Birdman and Lil Wayne put their differences aside after the myriad of legal problems they had last year. Recording in the studio together and joining each other on stage again, it was looking like a collaboration to celebrate the fact they’ve made amends was on the way. While Mannie Fresh’s “Hate” isn’t exactly the reunion on record we were hoping for, it still features the two artists on the same track for the first time in a long while.
With Birdman opening up the track with a brief intro, Mannie, Lil Wayne, and Juvenile put everything aside to trade some bars atop a minimal beat. Even though Wayne is still suing Cash Money Records, it would appear the two are back to being friends at the very least. Mannie Fresh teases that this is the first track from a forthcoming project due on Mass Appeal Records, saying, “This is just the foreplay, you can expect the eargasm later.”
