Captain Kirk and Questlove of The Roots have been performing as Black Simon & Garfunkel on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show for a few years now, and it’s become one of the show’s signature and most talked about recurring sketches. The sketch finally came full circle last night, as Kirk and Questlove emulated the legendary and gentle folk duo only to be joined by Art Garfunkel himself. Just before hitting the chorus of The Weeknd’s smash-hit single “Can’t Feel My Face,” Garfunkel snuck in from the side to join the two.
It’s a pretty great moment, and it must be said that you really can apply the signature stylings of Simon & Garfunkel to anything. Check out the performance above.
