Disclosure will be releasing their second studio album Caracal on September 25, and in anticipation of the imminent release they’ve shared yet another track. “Jaded” is just as effortless sounding as we’ve come to expect from the British duo, featuring the band’s own Howard Lawrence on the vocals this time around instead of another member of their impressive rotating roster of guests. The video for the track acts as a sequel of sorts to the Sam Smith-featuring “Omen,” which ended with a ominous to be continued card complete with kidnapping.
The video provides an obtuse narrative, complete with holograms, hypnotism, and a very dramatic looking rooftop. Following from the moment “Omen” finishes, the video shows exactly what we heard at the end of the “Omen” video. The album, which drops next week, is set to feature appearances from the likes of The Weeknd, Lorde, Kwabs, and Miguel among others.
