Shlohmo’s new album Dark Red is set to be released on April 7 via True Panther/WeDidIt and with that date swiftly approaching, Shlohmo has returned with his next single “Beams,” as well as the accompanying visuals. The title of the new single seems fitting since the various sounds blast out of the speakers like rapid beams of light.
The fast paced production is matched by a Jack Irving-directed video that WeDidIt co-founder Nick Melons says captures “the rawness and nostalgic carelessness we associate with being young.” Melons also admitted in the press release for Shlohmo’s new single that they found Jack Irving through vine, which would explain the excellent execution of making fast paced, yet intriguing clips.
