Rustie’s beats are huge, maximal creations. They’re definitely not appropriate for every rapper, in fact many would be overwhelmed by the production, but when someone with the right energy and flow is found the results are brilliant. Danny Brown is the best example of this—check out “Attak”—and now UK MC Kano proves he has the magic on “Hail.”
The track, and the video, shot by long time grime documentarian Risky Roadz, is thick with references and slang, and sees Kano reminding everyone that he’s one of the best lyricists in the UK. (Reminder: he has been for years.) The one off single drops April 15. Pre-order here.
