If you haven’t been paying attention to Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs series, then you’ve really been missing out. Secret Songs is a series of tracks by lesser known electronic producers, with it all put together and selected by Ryan Hemsworth himself. The series has put us onto some promising names, including Ricky Eat Acid among others. The eighth and latest release in the series comes from the unassumingly named Lucas. His delicate contribution to the series, “Keep U Warm,” features a drip-drop of R&B-inspired sounds that come together remarkably well.
Lucas said of the track: “Often when I am making music I have some idea of the place in which I want the song to exist. This ‘place’ can be a room, a field, an old cassette tape, etc. I think that attempting to capture the mood of a specific setting can give my songs a certain quality or atmosphere, and can help me choose sounds that will work well for the track.” Listen to and download the track below.
