One of the most interesting and revealing songs on J. Cole’s recently released Born Sinner album was “Let Nas Down,” a refreshingly honest peek into the rapper’s mindset and his embarrassment and guilt at finding out Nas’ negative reaction to Cole World: The Sideline Story, and specifically the single “Work Out.” Nas has taken the beat and replied to Cole, changing the chorus to “you made Nas proud” and dropping some wisdom for the younger MC.
