Video: Drake Ft. Rihanna - "Take Care"

Drake’s been doing everything on Take Care very artfully (except, debatably, the album artwork). That trend does not, in any way, slow down here. He taps in Yoann Lemoine to direct the video for the eponymous single and it’s clear that this video is all Woodkid everything, and equally clear that Drake does an amazing job of picking his collaborators.

Between this, the “Born To Die” video and his own visuals for his own song “Iron,” Lemoine has been creating an aesthetic that’s entirely his own. He’s generating imagery that’s evoking grandeur from near-apocalyptic scenes with a few different techniques, all of which have been expanded on here. Bare sets that make everything look otherworldy in their expansiveness, a props that suggest medieval majesty and a lot of animals (our personal favorite). Each of which has been adapted here to fit the Drake aesthetic – toned down in a great way – and I think it makes for his best video yet.
