Frank Ocean was recently interviewed by the BBC after coming runner-up in their Sound Of 2012 poll – voted for by 180 leading critics, bloggers (not P&P, but there’s always next year) and broadcasters. In the interview he talks about what he’d tell his 18 year old self, how Hurricane Katrina affected him, and most excitingly confirms that the follow-up to Nostalgia, Ultra which will be his first official release with Def Jam, will be released in spring.

Mr Ocean, who comes over as thoughtful and well spoken in the short video interview, will have one of the most highly anticipated releases of the coming year, and here’s hoping he lives up to the incredibly high standards he set himself. Watch the video interview below, and head over here to the BBC to read the full interview.
