Cali natives Young the Giant pulled off a fantastic cover of Gorillaz‘ “Empire Ants” on MTV Unplugged the other day. Though their version keeps things pretty sedated until about 2:42, Young the Giant do a brilliant job of capturing the peaceful feel of the Gorillaz song before taking it up a notch with two sets of drums and a small strings section.
