New Mark Ronson & Q-Tip, Jeezy, and Donnis

1.

Three for one. Ready? Go.

First up is the first single from producer Mark Ronson’s Record Collection, out in September. A Tribe Called Quest was one of the first hip-hop groups I ever really loved, and from then on I’ve lived by a simple rule: Q-Tip everything. This is no exception. Propers to this guy.

Donnis is officially a problem. Southern charm, right-now style, and the consistency of an assembly line. I don’t like to use the term “the it factor” but he seems to have that too. He’ll be dropping Fashionably Late on June 22nd. Be sure to check out Donnis’ “Yup” too.

Here’s a tag-free version of Jeezy’s “D-Boyz”. Some rappers have flows that weave in and out between the drums, playing off the intricacies of the beat. Jeezy’s vocals blanket everything around them, and sometimes it can be smothering, but this beat is perfect for him.
