The Weeknd’s consistently compelling Dawn FM era now includes a playable saw blade record for his single “Out of Time.”

Thursday, fans were alerted to the launch of the latest project from the MSCHF art collective, i.e. a uniquely designed piece that’s billed as being both “a saw blade and record all in one.” Just 25 of the products will be manufactured, with a 24-hours-only blind auction launching here starting Thursday. The auction is currently slated to close at 1 p.m. ET on April 8.

Per MSCHF, the record’s grooves have been engraved into a copper band using direct metal mastering. This is then inset into the body of the saw blade, which boasts a vibration-halting design. Get a closer look below.

The MSCHF collab is especially timely, as Abel this week released his “Out of Time” video featuring Hoyeon and Jim Carrey.

Later this month, Coachella attendees will be treated to headlining performances from The Weeknd with Swedish House Mafia. While the latter had already been on the lineup for this year’s long-anticipated return of the two-weekend California festival, Abel marks a very recent addition following the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s decision to drop out. Per subsequent reports, it’s been alleged that Ye left more than $8 million on the table by exiting the festival lineup.

Next up for Abel after his Coachella weekends is the launch of the first leg of the After Hours Til Dawn tour with Doja Cat. See a full list of dates and additional info here.
