In the late 1990s and 2000s, Fatboy Slim was an unstoppable juggernaut of hits, cranking out chart-topper after chart-topper. Now, with nearly four decades in the game, the Brighton icon is celebrating some of his many, many hits with some revamped and reimagined remixes, the first of which is a Todd Edwards reworking of “The Rockafeller Skank”.

“The Rockafeller Skank” was first released back in 1998 and together with tracks like “Right Here, Right Now” and “Praise You”, marked the apex of the reign of Big Beat. For this new version, Todd The God chops up Lord Finesse’s instantly recognisable “right about now, the funk soul brother” and the looping surf guitars even further, taking it deeper into house territory.

The new remix is part of a four-track collection of reimagined Norman Cook anthems titled Everybody Loves A Remix, celebrating his all-conquering hits in time for a UK arena tour, which begins November 4 in Cardiff and runs until the end of the month.

Everybody Loves A Remix drops in full tomorrow, October 22, via Skint Records. While you wait for that, check the tour dates below, grab your tickets here, and then hit play on the new remix at the bottom.
