We’ve already been spoiled rotten with albums and mixtapes this year and now Ms Banks is here to throw her hat into the ring with news of a new mixtape, Bank Statement. Ahead of the tape’s release on October 22, she’s also shared visuals for the lead single, “Go Low”.

Production comes from Splurgeboys, arming Banks with a dancehall-rap hybrid instrumental packed with a driving low end and rattling percussion, but with plenty of room for her to take charge of the track.

The visuals, which were directed by Chris Chuky, open with a quote from Banks, which says, “It’s me vs me, I am my own competition,” and to drive that point home we get a face off between her two personas, each flanked by a squad of dancers.

Destined to pack every dancefloor up and down the country, Banks says the track was designed to make up for Notting Hill Carnival’s cancellation. “This one is due to get you moving,” she says. “And since we can’t go Notting Hill Carnival, I’ll bring Notting Hill Carnival to you...”

Ahead of the mixtape’s release on October 22, hit play on the visuals at the top and make sure you add “Go Low” to your playlists.
