Having been a bit quiet for the past few years, Peckham-born singer-songwriter Katy B made a grand return earlier this year when she jumped on a new version of Moses Boyd’s “2 Far Gone”. The track blew up and it was immediately clear there was an audience ready and waiting for new Katy. Two new singles followed—“Under My Skin”, and “Open Wound” with Jaz Karis—and now we’ve got the first new Katy B project in five years: Peace & Offerings.
The new 8-tracker shows off an updated sound for the artist, marrying hints of her club roots with touches of pop and a more prominent R&B influence. “I think I consciously leaned into my R&B side more on this project,” she explains. “With the clubs being closed, it reflects what I’d be listening to and vibing to at home”.
