Taking a break from his run of international collaborations that have seen him link up with artists from across Europe and West Africa, UK drill don Headie One is back with a team-up that’s a little closer to home—and all the more special for it.

Headie’s new single, “Can’t Be Us”, sees him reconnect with fellow North Londoners and OFB members Abra Cadabra and Bandokay, and it really feels like a victory lap for all three of them. Tooled with an instrumental from M1OnTheBeat, Ari Beats, Jakik, and CD, it’s a fitting backdrop for the rappers—with any luck, we won’t have to wait as long for their next meeting on wax.

The accompanying video follows the three rhymers—decked out in fresh, bright red trackies—as they return to the block for a massive celebration, handing out creps and cones to the kids and quite literally painting the town red.

Headie One co-directs this one alongside DON Prod, and he’s peppered it with moments of his trademark, bone-dry sense of humour, including a playful jab at a kid whose trainers are a little worse for wear.
