Fresh from featuring across Stormzy’s latest No. 1 album, This Is What I Mean, rising UK soul star Debbie has returned with a sublime single of her own in “Cousin’s Car”, featuring fellow singer-songwriter BERWYN.
“Cousin’s Car” was co-produced by Jonny Latimer and Jonny Coffer, with additional production by Jojo Muzeka, and is a vulnerable and heartfelt reflection on the intensities of life and the need for escapism to deal with these pressures. “‘Cousin’s Car’ is all about escaping,” says Debbie. “Life can get really intense sometimes, and I like the idea of having the space to get away when and if needed.”
