Danny Brown isn’t shying away from sharing what he thinks about the prominent New York drill rap scene.

During the latest episode of his podcast the Danny Brown Show, the Detroit rapper, while chopping it up with his guest, JPEGMAFIA, poked fun at drill rappers.

“What’s up with New York drill music?” Brown asked at the 48:20 mark. “Why all these n***as sound like Batman?”

After spitting a hypothetical drill rap line in a voice that resembles the low-pitched one Christian Bale used in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Danny added, “All these n***as rap like Batman Beyond now!”

“What the fuck is wrong with y’all n***as man?” Brown added “That shit ain’t fire! … You know they all wanna be like a demon. N***a you 16 your balls ain’t even dropped yet. You ain’t even got a deep voice yet. These n***as rapping like villains.”

He continued, “I just wanted to say that man. All you New York drill n***as rapping like Batman Begins man that shit is over with man. Pop Smoke, that was his natural voice man, but all y’all 16 … n***a if you don’t shut the fuck up man. Shouts out to real New York rappers like MIKE, you know what I’m saying.”

Later in the episode, Brown and JPEGMAFIA announced their forthcoming collaborative project Scarin’ The Hoes, Vol. 1, which is due out later this year. The pair also premiered the album’s lead single “Lean Beef Patty.” Listen to the track around the 56-minute mark of the video up top.
