Cardi B appears to have deleted her Twitter account shortly after tweeting that she would.

On Sunday, Cardi ripped fans who were taking aim at her and her kids because she didn’t attend the Grammys.

“I’m deleting my Twitter On God I hate this fuckin dumbass fan base,” she tweeted before deactivating her account. “You got the slow dumbasses dragging my kids all cause y’all [thought] I was going to the Grammys and I didn’t the fuck?”

Prior to deactivating her account, Cardi seemed to be getting pressured by her fans to release the follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi took to Instagram Live shortly after deleting her Twitter to elaborate on the decision, and explain why she got “irritated.”

“I’m doing girl-day shit today, right? And I’m chilling and everything and then I’m going through my Twitter, and I see people in my Twitter—my fans, my own fucking fans—talking shit like, ‘Oh.’ Practically saying that I’m lazy, and that I was giving hints that I was going to the Grammys. Bitch, how the fuck was I giving hints that I’m going to the Grammys when I literally lasering and bleaching my pussy on my Insta story?”

Cardi continued, explaining that she had posted from New York with her kids being heard in the background, and asked fans why she’d go to an award show at the moment.

“Do I have any new music,” she asked. “Why would I show up with one nomination? And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose and award, and me just be there smiling like, ‘That’s great, that’s great.’ Like, come on now my n---a. Come on now. I don’t like that shit. And then it’s like, ‘Oh but you was giving out hints…’ What in my Insta story gave you hints that I was gonna go into the Grammys? Oh my tweet, ‘I like men that like fashion,’ what the fuck does that have to do with the Grammys? Red hair and tattoos, what the fuck does that have to do with me saying I’m going to the Grammys?”

Cardi then explained that when her “own fans” talk “shit” about her, it “piss the fuck out of me” and led to a “domino effect” of her going off on social media.

“And motherfuckers talking like I’m getting cancelled, this and that. Let me tell you something, I don’t give a fuck, whatever I said on them tweets, I really motherfucking mean it,” she said. “‘Oh, why would you wish that on somebody mother?’ Well, that person brought up my son. If you talking shit about me, why you bringing up my fucking son?”

During her dispute last month with trolls over a zoomed-in photo of her second child’s eye, along with the caption, “That’s all y’all will get,” the “Up” rapper threatened to delete her social media amid frustration with people trying to put a negative spin on everything she put out on social media.

“It seems like I can’t do or say nothing these days wit out people getting irritated. Maybe I should delete my social medias or just cause Wtfff … If I post is cause I want attention, If I speak my mind is cause I want attention, if I post a pic I want attention, I’d I talk about my kids which I’m wit everyday is cause I want attention…Like wtfff,” she wrote at the time.
