Billie Eilish is set to become the youngest solo act to ever headline Glastonbury festival when it returns next year.

The 19-year-old singer is scheduled to headline the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury 2022, which also marks her first ever UK festival headline slot. Eilish teased the announcement on her Instagram Story, sporting a Glastonbury Festival hoodie alongside the caption “2022.” She previously played the festival in 2019 at the Other stage.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce that the wondrous @billieeilish is headlining the Pyramid on the Friday at next year’s Glastonbury Festival, becoming the youngest solo headliner in our history,” Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis wrote in a tweet. “This feels like the perfect way for us to return and I cannot wait!” Further announcements for the festival, set to kick off on June 22, 2022, are expected to follow soon.

At the start of the year, the 2021 edition of Glastonbury was called off due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement, the organizers said 2021 will be “another enforced fallow year” for the festival. “In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the Festival happen this year. We are all so sorry to let you down.” The festival also missed its 2020 edition for the same reason.

As for Eilish, she was very vocal about her opposition to the recent Texas abortion law during her Austin City Limits headline performance on Saturday.

“When they made that shit a law, I almost didn’t want to do this show because I wanted to punish this fucking place for allowing that to happen here,” Eilish said to the crowd. “But then, I remembered that it’s you guys that are the fucking victims, and you deserve everything in the world. And we have to tell them to shut the fuck up. Look at this.” She then held up her middle finger and shouted, “My body, my fucking choice!”
