It’s the beginning of spring and music releases are starting to multiply. This week, 6LACK dropped his new album Since I Have A Lover, featuring the standout single “Decatur.” BIA is also back with her new banger, “I’m That Bitch” that samples a 1999 Missy Elliott Record. And Chlöe is gearing up for the release of her debut solo album, In Pieces, with the new seductive single “Body Do.”

“Decatur” is a slick and danceable song that finds 6LACK skating over a hypnotic beat as he sings about “ridin’ through Decatur with the windows down.” The texture of 6LACK’s velvety and calm voice pairs nicely with the upbeat tempo of the song. His lyrics on the chorus in particular, are catchy and sweet as he gushes about his partner (“If you see her, you can look, but don’t touch, lil bruh”). “Decatur” is just one of many standouts from 6LACK’s new album, Since I Have A Lover—Jessica McKinney

Lola Brooke f/ Latto, Yung Miami “Don’t Play With It” Remix

Lola Brooke’s track “Don’t Play With It” took New York by storm, and now the Brooklyn spitter has linked up with fellow heavyweights Latto and Yung Miami to add the grit from Atlanta and Florida to the remix. Latto and Miami feel like a seamless addition to the already energetic track, with both rappers bringing their unique voices to give the song new color. Yung Miami also sneaks in clarification on her relationship status. —Jordan Rose

BIA f/ Timbaland, “I’m That Bitch”

On “I’m That Bitch,” BIA shows love to Missy Elliott by sampling the Misdemeanor’s 1999 hit “She’s A Bitch.” The futuristic beat was originally produced by Timbaland and now includes new production credits from SkipOnDaBeat. BIA adds her twist to the record, rapping in an elevated tone. “I’m that bitch/I’m into guns if they come with a switch/I got a type if he makin’ me rich/ And these bitches be watchin’ my page like a twitch,” she spits. The verses are lengthy, but BIA never misses a beat. It definitely sounds like BIA found her lane. “I’m That Bitch” is expected to appear in her project, Full Circle. —Jessica McKinney

Chlöe, “Body Do”

Chlöe is back with a new banger. “Body Do” is a sexy dance hit that compels listeners to move their bodies. On the track, she seductively sings, “​​I want you now/Be so, so scandalous.” Every line of the song is broken up by background vocals of Chlöe commanding, “Pop, pop, pop, pop yo.” “Body Do” is a fun and electric departure from other singles like “Pray It Away.” The track will appear in her forthcoming debut solo album, In Pieces—Jessica McKinney

HUNXHO, “48 Laws of Power”

Hunxho has just released his latest project, 22, and in it, the street poet breaks down his own rules to life in “48 Laws of Power.” Named after the Robert Greene book of the same name, Hunxho uses the entire track to outline the fundamental principles he believes are crucial to success and survival and does so while still making the song feel like a song with his patented melodic flow. “48 Laws of Power” further proves that the 23-year-old rapper is wise beyond his years and has overcome many obstacles to reach his current position. —Jordan Rose

Internet Money f/ Kodak Black & Roddy Ricch, “I Remember”

Internet Money tapped Kodak Black and Roddy Ricch for their new single, “I Remember,” an emotionally rich and melodic record anchored in piano keys. Over a booming bass, Roddy Ricch kicks off the track, singing about coming up in the trenches. “I can tell you what I’ve done been through/Now I done made my way back in the coupe/I ain’t tryna make it back in the news,” he sings on the chorus. Rosalía & Rauw Alejandro, “Beso”

Latin superstars Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro are newly engaged, and to celebrate the announcement, the duo shared three new songs on their RR EP, including the electrifying track “Beso.” The affection the two share for each other pours through the melodies and visuals attached to the song. The music video acts as a visual diary of their adventures around the world together. Rosalía’s syrupy singing voice is paired well with Rauw’s crooning and melodic rap style, making the two a perfect match to join forces on the track. —Jordan Rose

Quando Rondo, “Cut You Off”

“Cut You Off” is a midtempo and lowkey single with a raunchy message. On the track, Quando slides over a DJ Chose-produced beat, explicitly outlining what he wants to do to his girl. “I ain’t no P, I’m a L, I’m a lover/ Turnin’ up that trap, I’ma a fuck her to Usher,” he sings. The rest of the lyrics are a bit NSFW, but it’s still an enjoyable record. The track appears on Quando’s latest project, Recovery—Jessica McKinney

Mike Dimes, “Kiss N Tell”

Mike Dimes clarifies his priorities on his latest track “Kiss N’ Tell” featuring Dro Kenji. “Broke her heart, don’t regret it/Yeah, I love that weed, but if I smoke I might catch feelings” the San Antonio rapper spits, making it clear his focus is on success, and not romance. Dimes breaks down more of his origins and chronicles his rise to fame over a triumphant horn instrumental, while Dro Kenji adds melody to his third verse.
