Speaking with Complex back in May, Zaytoven explained why he felt 2017 was a crucial year for his already stacked career.

"I've had a lot of exciting moments in my career," he said. "They've been spaced out. The last thing that I've done that was big was music. 'Used to This' just went platinum. 'Too Much Sauce' went gold. Migos' album [Culture] went platinum. Future's album No. 1, so you know I've been a part of big things going on. I never put out an album. I've never done a record deal before. So right now, the label like, 'We want to do a deal with you.' That's what really let me know that it is perfect timing." Zaytoven later announced a deal with Motown Records.

"Zaytoven is one of the hottest and most influential producers in hip-hop," Ezekiel Lewis, Senior VP of A&R at Motown, said at the time. "We are thrilled to be his partners in this exciting new phase of his career."

Last week, Zaytoven grabbed Quavo and 2 Chainz for "Wake Up & Cook Up." The track is believed to be taken from Trap Holizay, Zaytoven's debut album due next year.
