Zacari, who was among the curated assortment of collaborators on Kendrick Lamar's Grammy-winning DAMN album and the Black Panther soundtrack, is now an official member of the Top Dawg Entertainment team.

TDE announced the deal with the Bakersfield artist, accompanying the news with the new single "Don't Trip." Check out the video for the J-Louis and Teddy Walton-produced song up top and—per a press release—expect more from Zacari later this year in the form of his debut EP.

Speaking of J-Louis, the producer—as revealed back in 2017 during an interview with Pitchfork—was integral in getting Zacari into the TDE circle of creators.  "It was all [manager Moosa Tiffith] at that point," Zacari said at the time. "I was with my friend J-Louis. He does a lot of my music. He's Bryson [Tiller]'s DJ and he also produces for Bryson."

In Genius annotations explaining how he linked up with Walton, Zacari elaborated further. He and Walton first met at an "AirBnB studio" that Tiller was staying. At the time, Zacari and J-Louis were roommates. "So I'd be there a lot, and then someone brought Teddy there too and I remember Bryson would be gone from the studio so it would just be me, J, and Teddy and that's when we really started connecting," he explained when breaking down the origin of the DAMN cut "LOVE."

On last year's Black Panther soundtrack, Zacari landed on "Redemption" with Babes Wodumo.
