Sir Paul McCartney has spent 72 prolific years as a certified pop genius, though his lean appearance and infectious show energy often align with someone decades younger. As a longtime vegetarian, McCartney has avoided virtually every aspect of the unfortunate rock & roll deterioration of The Beatles' peers — i.e. Keith Richards, et al. As his famous 1980 arrest in Tokyo (and subsequent nine days in jail) proved, McCartney had an understandable fondness for weed which extended far beyond his time in The Beatles — wherein the four were introduced to weed by one Bob Dylan.

In a new interview with Daily Mirror, McCartney talks a bit about his fitness routine — mostly centered around his love for impressive headstands — before opening up about the current status of his relationship with marijuana. "I don't do it anymore," says McCartney. "The truth is I don’t really want to set an example to my kids and grandkids. It’s now a parent thing." These days, McCartney opts for "a glass of red wine or a nice margarita" instead of the green goodness.

Of course, this news completely ruins any imagined scenarios revolving around the recording of "Only One," "All Day," and "FourFiveSeconds" wherein Kanye West and Sir Paul McCartney take two blunts to the face before coming up with the idea for a brilliant whistle outro on "All Day." Legends, still.
