Offset's Mom Says Takeoff's Solo Album Will Come After Quavo's

Quavo's solo debut is out Friday. According to Offset's mother, Takeoff's own solo album is up next.

Takeoff's solo album is next up, at least according to a recent comment from Offset's mother Latabia Woodward.

"It's still 3 of them," she said in an Instagram comment to a fan questioning Takeoff's absence from the American Music Awards, where both Quavo and Offset accepted the Favorite Duo or Group (Pop/Rock) Award. "Take is working on his solo album which releases soon after Quavo's. Each of them are releasing solo projects."

The fact that each Migos member has their own solo album in the works isn't news. Quavo recently confirmed as much in his interview with Hypebeast, comparing the solo process to the trio's usual creative method as follows:

"We've always had music stocked up, each of us on our own. That's how we always had worked, the previous Migos records. We always go work on them first and then one person would be on the song and then we just make each other do homework. So now it's just like we completing our own songs."

Though "soon" isn't exactly a specific release window, there's still a chance we could get Takeoff's untitled solo album before year's end. Hell, maybe the Atlanta trio is planning a fourth-quarter new release marathon a la Berkeley trio Green Day starting with Quavo's Quavo Huncho this Friday.

Even if that comes to be mere wishful thinking, we can at least expect a Drake x Migos collab tape before the year switches over to 2019.
