Kodak Black returned to TheBreakfast Club Friday morning, ski mask included. In fact, everyone in the Power 105.1 studio (except, notably, Angela Yee) donned a ski mask as a callback to his viral 2017 appearance.

First up, Kodak was asked to explain the inspiration behind the title for his new album Dying to Live. "All us got a due date," he said. "All us got a death sentence. One day we gonna die. While we walking while we breathing we dying . . . I be really feeling like even though we live to die some people be dying to live."

Later, about 11 minutes in, Kodak was asked about his previous The Breakfast Club appearance and his feelings on interviews in general. "I just came in like, man, you know, I really ain't fucking with this shit," said Kodak, who claimed he never watched the interview in question. "But then at the same time I'm like, man, I want to show another side of me, like my intellectuality . . . because people be thinking I'm stupid and shit."

Though Kodak's recent walkout from an Ebro Darden interview in response to a question about his sexual assault case (which goes to trial next year) wasn't mentioned specifically Friday morning, Kodak was asked by Charlamagne how he's "staying in good spirits with all the charges and stuff you face."

"I don't see that," Kodak said around 30 minutes in. "Ain't nothin' worse than death. I don't see that. I just walk around, I got big wings . . . I don't think I'm going. I don't think that's in my future no more. I think I did enough for that. I could have just stayed in jail. Why even let me come home?"

Kodak also discussed moving to Calabasas, XXXTentacion, and more. The full interview is available up top.
