Gang51e June and Kevin Gates’ “4Reign Gangsta,” a song that was crafted while the two artists were on the road together, now has an official video.

“Me and my brother Kevin Gates cooked up a song while we been on tour,” Gang51e June, who’s currently serving as direct support on Gates’ Khaza Tour, tells Complex of the collab. “It’s a song celebrating how we made it out of poverty-stricken situations and I felt it was only right to do so because it’s somebody in the same situation as I was that needs to know it’s possible to get out.”

Gang51e June, whose 2020 video for “Base’ Body” is now nearing 3 million views on YouTube, first started developing his creative process in Tulsa, Oklahoma by writing poetry and singing in church with his grandmother. In fact, he still credits his sustained spiritual practice with allowing him to get in tune with himself.

Before fully committing to his own music, Gang51e June also spent time working as an engineer for other artists in his city. He also spent time directing and editing his own videos, which allowed the 22-year-old artist to carefully develop his vision.

Gates’ Khaza Tour got a proper kickoff back in September and is set to wrap up with a stop at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, Georgia on Nov. 5. See more dates below. And for ticket info, click here.
