Khaled dropped by Jimmy Kimmel's special Brooklyn set Monday night to discuss his son/executive producer's Diddy-assisted birthday plans, his hurricane relief efforts, his upcoming jet skiing appointment with Amy Schumer, and more.
"His birthday is Oct. 23, and speaking of him being the executive producer, the album that he's executive producer on went platinum in two months," Khaled told Kimmel. "It went gold in two weeks. My biggest album, and my son is my biggest blessing. It's changed my life, man, I'm happy. I love that boy." Prior to joining Kimmel on the couch, Khaled had just hopped off the phone with the one and only Sean Combs.
"You know, speaking of his birthday, I just got off the phone with Puff Daddy, because we throwing the biggest birthday party for Asahd," Khaled revealed. "It's gone be big. You know, if it's a big party, Puff Daddy gotta be involved. So me and Puff were talking, and we're gone do something big for Asahd." Asked how the throwdown might interfere with Asahd's busy executive production schedule, Khaled confirmed his son would indeed be taking a day off.
Tuesday night, DJ Khaled will be part of Tidal's third annual benefit concert in Brooklyn. The hurricane relief fundraiser will take place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and will also feature Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Luis Fonsi, Cardi B, ASAP Ferg, Vic Mensa, Willow Smith, Joey Badass, Fifth Harmony, and many more.
