AJ Tracey Reps West London Overseas In "Ladbroke Grove" Visuals
A nod to the concentrated Moroccan diaspora of West London.
Home is where the heart is for West London rapper AJ Tracey as he unveils visuals for the Conducta-produced riddim "Ladbroke Grove", which is taken from his self-titled debut album.
No stranger to a destination visual in recent years ("Pasta", Thiago Silva")—at first glance, shooting in Marrakech would seem a touch out of place, but we're informed it's a nod to the concentrated Moroccan diaspora of West London. The UK garage stepper automatically lends itself to a visual with sunlight and vibrancy. Sampling "Wandering Romance", a ballad by Jorja Smith, plying it with breakneck energy, AJ Tracey rides the beat with ease on the clear standout from his eponymous LP. On co-directing duties alongside Hamish Stephenson, AJ and pals explore the city and vibe with the locals.
