Jim Jones has revealed he would be hurt if Pusha T wasn’t referring to him in the song that was previewed during Paris Fashion Week.
During his appearance on Drink Champs, Capo was tasked between picking Pusha T or No Malice in N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's Quicktime with Slime segment. The question brought laughs from those in attendance but Capo handled the question with ease and acknowledged Push was at the top of his game.
“Shoutout to Pusha T he’s a very dope artist,” Capo said. "Everyone knows he’s a monster when it comes to doing music can’t take nothing away from him. The thing that was going on recently in the media and internet I believe it was cool.”
He continued, “I had a time in my life where I got to engage in verbal warfare and don’t have to go beyond that. Who knows what he might come up with, he’s crafty and shit like that some people react off top some people take years. I think it was dope. It was cute. I don’t know if he actually took a shot at me. It was pointed in that direction. It made me feel a type of way.”
N.O.R.E said Pusha may not have even been referring to Jim in his diss which had him reply, “And I would be hurt. I would be heartbroken.”
Jim Jones’ response comes after he unleashed his diss record in June. The song was in response to Pusha’s unreleased track that was previewed at Paris Fashion Week where he allegedly took shots at the Dipset member. Capo’s diss had him flex his lyrical muscles where he claimed Push’s fans got him “gassed.”
“That shit was trash we gonna let them get a do over/They got you gassed, they must think you’re the new Hova/You a 4.0, n***a, I jumped in the new rover/Your brother still jumping on the bed, tell him ‘Move over,’” Jim rapped.
The tension between these two started when Jones claimed Pusha was not a Top 50 MC back in April during a podcast appearance,. The Virginia native seemingly dissed his New York rival on the new song premiered at Pharrell's fashion show for comments Jones made during an interview in April about Push not being a top 50 rapper.
