Over what is on the surface merely an electrified dancehall riddim, a voice urges revelers to "Bring the Fire" on German duo Robs & Duke's latest single for Enchufada's successful fourth volume of the Upper Cuts series. However, upon a deeper listen, the track proves itself to be quite flexible in its best use as a DJ tool to weave between both classic and modern interpretations of global bass. From reggae to dembow to moombahton and back again, if a disc jockey weaving connective ties through a plethora of low-end theories, this is a certain champion sound. While most Androids may only be aware of Schlatchofbronx as significant booty-shifting German producers, this track expands that definition and invites more intrigue as to what eastern European global bass sounds have to offer.
