Canadian dubstep and heavy bass pioneer Datsik brought ten free days of low end fury to the party as Beatport continues to celebrate its #beatportdecade campaign celebrating the portal's tenth anniversary of operation. Alongside Hardwell, Todd Terry, Maya Jane Coles, and Bonobo, the now SFX-owned music store/blog/music cultural standard bearer is allowing some of it's highest-selling artists the opportunity to give back to fans who have supported them through Beatport over the years. Regarding the project, Beatport's representatives stated: "[a] decade ago, Beatport pioneered a vision of providing you, the DJ, the music you love in the formats you need. Join us as we provide an in-depth look at the best-performing genres from the last 10 years, curated by guest DJs who helped define each along the way.” Regarding the genre for while both he and Firepower Records have become so renowned, Datsik said the following in a recent DAD interview: "And to say that dubstep is dead? That’s kind of weird because at this point, there are still more people listening to dubstep then ever before."
